The Louis Van Lint Institute was founded in 2016. Its aim is to promote and sustain the work of painter Louis Van Lint and, in a broader sense, the Belgian post-war art world. Its focus is on the communications regarding the artist and his peers from that period; the organisation of exhibitions; archival research; and the publishing and the provision of further general information concerning the subject.

Serge Goyens de Heusch, art historian, graduate of the Institut Supérieur d'Histoire de l'Art et d'Archéologie de Bruxelles, the University of Louvain-la-Neuve and the University of Paris-Sorbonne, owner of the Galerie Armorial from 1970 to 1984, later director of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Wavre, curator of numerous exhibitions in Belgium and abroad, creator of the Foundation for Contemporary Belgian Art and specialist in the work of Van Lint, whom he met in 1977 and for whom he has organised numerous exhibitions. This site and the catalogue raisonné could not have been created without his contribution and his precious advice.

The institute is searching for volunteers that would like to spend some of their time looking for reproductions of works for the catalogue raisonné, prospecting for supporters, and keeping in contact with different institutions.
Profile :
- Dutch or French-speaking, or preferably bilingual Dutch-French
- having an appreciation of painting and the world of art in general
- Basic computer skills (e-mail, text processing)
- mastery of spelling and other communication skills
- Organised and precise
- Eager to make a contribution to a project that applies itself to the history of Belgian art
