Travel in Greece, mainly in the islands of the Aegean (Rhodes, Mykonos, Patmos). From his travels he is inspired to paint Hellenic writing (Ecriture hellénique) and Apamée's dream (Le songe d’Apamée, 1972).

Wins a prize at the International Exhibition of Painting in Cagnes-sur-Mer.

Has a stay in Haute-Savoie in the region of Lake Annecy (thème du Thiou).

Has shows in Aalst and Tielt. He paints Fecondity (Fécondité).

1973

Has a stay in Britain.

Paints Wild coast (Côtes sauvages), A tribute to Gaudi (Hommage à Gaudi) and A curious symposium (Curieux colloque).

1974

The group Zist Zest-it pays tribute to him at the Palace of Fine Arts in Charleroi.

He undergoes removal of a large part of his stomach.
