1981-1986

1981

His exhibition at the Armorial gallery is well recieved by the Belgian Association of Art Critics.

 

 

 

 

Several of his works fall into the collection of the Grand Ducal House in Luxembourg, including Astral environment (Environnement astral).

Paints Streamers (Oriflammes) and Magnetic space (Espace magnétique).

1982

Is promoted to Grand Officer of the Order of Leopold. The Belgian Senate acquires a 3 meters large painting titled Ballet or Conflict (Ballet ou Conflit).

Solo exhibition at the Campo gallery in Antwerp.

1983

A selection of his works are presented to the Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels, at the celebration of the publication of a monograph dedicated to him by Philippe Roberts-Jones.

Painted the large canvas Strange symposium (Etrange colloque).

1984

Painted First signs of spring (Prémices du printemps).

1985

Last exhibition in the artist's lifetime held at the Foundation for Contemporary Art in Brussels Belgium.

Painted the large canvas Morning opening (Ouverture matinale).

1986

Painted Threshold of the unexplored (Seuil de l’inexploré, his final canvas).

Dies in Brussels, December 27, the day after his 77th birthday, of a cerebral thrombosis.
